About Me: Anahita Gheytanchi, PhD


Background and Training:

I am a clinical psychologist with training and experience helping adults of different cultures and beliefs with behavioral, mood, relationship, and health problems.

Education:

I received my BA from University of California, Los Angeles in Clinical Psychology in 1999. I received my MS and PhD from Palo Alto University in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Forensic Assessment in 2009. My dissertation focused on the relationship between empathic abilities and personality traits. My education also focused on human relations in organizations and leadership roles.

Training:

I completed an APA internship at the Northern California Veteran’s Administration focused on assessment and treatment of trauma related conditions. In addition, I completed various pre-doctoral training focused on treatment of trauma and brain Injury.
